Molybdenum alloy cutting the amount of choice

The workpiece material, cutting tool materials, tool geometry parameters have been determined in the case, the choice of cutting the amount of work will be related to the quality and production efficiency. Selected should first consider the largest possible depth ap, followed by selection of the largest possible amount of feed f, finally ensure that the tool under the conditions of economic and durable cutting speed selected as large as possible.

Since molybdenum is characterized by high hardness, ductility small cutting force, cutting temperature is high, the tool easy to chipping. In order to avoid excessive cutting temperature, and to avoid the cutting edge hardened layer, so that the tool has a certain durability, thus cutting molybdenum material should opt for a lower cutting speed and tool path larger amount. Such as the use YG6, YG8 tool cutting molybdenum alloy, the selected cutting the amount of:

1) Cutting depth, ap1 = 4 ~ 7 mm (roughing); ap2 = 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm (semi-refined car); ap3 = 0.1 ~ 0.2 mm (fine cars);

2) Feed, f1 = 0.2 ~ 0.5 mm / r (roughing); f3 = 0.15 ~ 0.4 mm / r (finishing);

3) cutting speed, v1 = 35 ~ 75 m / min (roughing); v3 = 50 ~ 120 m / min (finishing).

Mo alloy cutting fluid selection

Cutting fluid with sufficient cooling and lubrication can be cooled not only the cutting edge, increasing continuous cutting time and improve durability of the tool, and can lubricate the cutting surface of the workpiece to reduce the surface roughness, to ensure quality of the workpiece. When cutting molybdenum material, the lubricant is particularly important, can usually be CCL4 +20 # lubrication oil mixture, the mixture can use this tool to improve the durability of more than 5 times.

MoS2 lubricant may be used in addition, the same good results can be obtained.
